Ruthven, IA (KICD)– A Ruthven man is facing drug charges following a routine probation check last week.

18-year-old Dallas Engelkes was arrested by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office last Tuesday afternoon after a probation check being conducted for the Iowa Department of Corrections led to the alleged discovery of an illegal substance.

As a result, Engelkes was charged with possession of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia before being placed in jail to await his initial court appearance.
