Aurelia, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Firefighters in Aurelia spent Christmas morning fighting a garage fire in the 100 block of Willow Street. The Aurelia Fire Department received the call around 10:15 a.m., December 25th, and were able to bring the fire under control. Damage was contained to the garage of the residence. The cause of the fire was linked to the use of a propane deep fryer cooker. There were no injuries reported. Aurelia Fire Department was assisted by Cherokee Regional Ambulance Service.
