Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Communications Officer Kevin Krull from the Iowa State Patrol Post in Spencer is out with his annual New Year’s Eve reminder.

Krull tells Northwestiowanow.com the number of impaired drivers tends to be up all month long.

The realistic goal for traffic fatalities this year was under 300.

Trooper Krull says if you’re the one hosting a New Year’s Eve get together you should make sure your guests have a sober ride home, or a safe place to stay.
