Spencer, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — A bill was passed in the last legislative semeion House File 674 and has created several new changes in motor vehicle transactions. Clay County Treasurer LeAnn Black explains the changes.

Originally transactions were restricted to the county of residence.

Some titling fees are also affected thanks to House File 674.

She also says titles that are issued in a county will have that county’s name on it, but you can change the county for a $5 fee.

Black says for any questions call the Clay County Treasurers office open Monday through Friday 8:00 – 4:30 pm. And the Drivers License Station is available by appointment.
