Sibley, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Big Country 107.7 brought you regional high school Basketball from Sibley Monday night as Harris-Lake Park took on Sibley-Ocheyedan in a boys only contest.
The Generals put together a strong first offensive quarter, outscoring the Wolves 18-10.
That score would hold for the most part in the 2nd quarter as Sibley-Ocheyedan went into the half leading 37-20.
Harris-Lake Park would put together a very strong 3rd quarter, outscoring the Generals 15-8 to cut the lead down to 10 going into the 4th.
The Wolves couldn’t complete the comeback in the final 8 minutes despite once again outscoring Sibley-Ocheyedan 20-16. Sibley-Ocheyedan held off Harris-Lake Park to win 61-55.
The Generals had 3 players in double figures for the night with Alex Kruger leading the way with 16, Dawson Kreykes scoring 15, and Cole Dykstra with 12.
Seth Goodell led the Wolves with 13 in the loss.
H-LP falls to 1-6 on the year with their 5th straight loss. Up next for the Wolves is a home game tonight against South O’Brien.
This was Sibley-Ocheyedan’s first win on the year as they snap a 7-game skid to improve to 1-7. Up next on the schedule for the Generals will be a road trip this evening to Boyden-Hull.
