Windom, MN (KICD) — Canada-based Hylife has announced it’s pork processing plant in Windom, Minnesota will close as the company enters bankruptcy. Ag Commissioner Thom Peterson tells the community his agency is activity seeking a buyer.
Peterson tells KICD Farm News the nation learned the value of small to medium sized processor during Covid, and says state and federal help might even be available
Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glenn Taylor bought the shuttered PM Beef Plant in Windom in 2016 and converted it to pork processing. He sold to Hylife in 2020.
