Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Spencer’s new police dog is now in service. Officer Turner Soden is his handler.

Soden and Balou did their training together in a suburb of the Twin Cities.

Soden has been with the Spencer Police Department two years. He says the expected career of a police dog is between five and ten years.
