Jackson, MN (Northwestiowanow.com) — Jackson, Minnesota has hired a new City Administrator all the way from California.

James Langborg was one of two finalists considered by the city council. He has a masters degree in public administration, with most of his experience in fire and EMS, serving the past six years as fire chief. in Greenfield, California.  The other finalist was Jason Baker, the current city administrator in Oronoco, Minnesota.

Mayor Marcus Polz says Langborg’s experience will help the city as it deals with FEMA on flood relief, and transitions from a volunteer EMT service to having more professionals on city staff.
