Storm Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — There has been a large number of riot cases in Buena Vista County over the past eighteen months. Buena Vista County Attorney Paul Allen says many involve drugs and weapons, and he wants the public – and potential participants – to know that his office will pursue the harshest penalties available under the law.

Allen tells Northwestiowanow.com many of the cases appear to be unprovoked.

The Buena Vista County Attorney’s office has gotten 28 riot convictions since the summer of 2023.
