Spirit Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Iowa Great Lakes Board of Realtors has released sales figures for 2024. Board President Gretchen Lolis from Hinn Real Estate says it’s no surprise a lot of property moved in Clay County in the fourth quarter.
Lolis says the Iowa Great Lakes remains one of the hottest markets in the state.
And there was also a lot of activity in Emmet County in October, November, and December.
For the entire year there were 199 home sales in Clay County, up 2 percent. The average price was up 3 percent to 210 thousand dollars. Prices were up 11 percent in both Dickinson and Emmet Counties. The average price in Dickinson County last year was 583 thousand. There were 461 transactions, up one percent. The average home price in Emmet County was 155 thousand dollars in 2024 and there were 110 closings, up 13 percent.
