Des Moines, IA (KICD)– Governor Kim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for Pocahontas County after severe weather moved through over the weekend.

The proclamation means the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program for residents of Pocahontas County.

Grants are available for home or car repairs, replacement of clothering or food and temporary housing expenses for those qualifying and can be applied for on the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services website for the next 45 days.

The Disaster Case Management Program is also available with no income eligibility requierements. Access to this program will close 180 days from Tuesday’s proclamation.
