Estherville, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Estherville Lincoln Central has extended a contract offer for Superintedent and it has been accepted. The district announced this morning (Friday morning) that their new top administrator will be Andrew Armstead – the current High School Principal at MVAOCOU in Mapleton. Prior to that Armstead worked in South Dakota.

School Board President Jeff Soper says the board was impressed with Armstead’s experience and leadership qualities. The district’s recruiter – Trent Grundmeyer – says one specific attribute of Armstead’s past was working in a school district that serves so many different communities.

Armstead tells Northwestiowanow.com he’s humbled and grateful to have been selected, and that he and his family look forward to becoming part of the community.

Armstead is scheduled to be our guest on The Big Interview Tuesday morning at 7:40 on Newsradio KICD.
