Sioux County (Northwestiowanow.com) — Sioux County Law Enforcement were called to a residence on Saturday morning around 2:45 a.m. for reports of a man kicking the door and trying to get inside the residence, and he did not live there. The report said he was not wearing pants or underwear. When officers arrived, the man had already fled the scene.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says a drone was used to assist in the search for the man. A short time later, he was found in a ditch deceased, four miles south of Sioux Center on Harrison Avenue. They are assumed to be the same person.

The victim’s name was being withheld pending notification of family.
