Estherville, IA (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Emmet County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday, February 25th, and among items covered, elected officials are seeing raises in the new fiscal year starting in July.
Starting July 1st, 2025, the County Attorney and Sheriff will receive a 5% pay increase. This brings the County Attorney’s annual salary to just over $115,000, and the Sheriff’s to approximately $103,000.
Meanwhile, the County Auditor, Recorder, Treasurer, and Supervisors will see a 3% increase. For these positions, the annual salaries will rise to just over $72,000 for the Auditor, Recorder, and Treasurer, and approximately $36,000 for the Supervisors.
These salary adjustments were recommended by the Emmet County Compensation Board, which met earlier this year to review and propose changes. The Board of Supervisors has now officially approved these recommendations.
These new salary figures will be divided into 12 equal payments throughout the year.
