Paullina, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The fire chief from Paullina believes a barn fire Thursday was caused by equipment being stored in the structure. Ryan Harper says the building and contents at 4621 Pierce Avenue were a total loss. Livestock inside were evacuated safely, and a nearby house received some heat damage to the sidding.
The Paullina department was dispatched shortly after 2:30pm, and called for backup from Primghar, Archer, and Granville. They were on the scene for about three hours
