STORM LAKE, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) – The Storm Lake Police Department responded to a delayed report of an assault last Friday evening.

Police met with a male victim who claimed he was approached and attacked by four juvenile males. The juveniles allegedly punched and kicked the victim repeatedly. The victim managed to escape the ambush and fled the area on foot.

Following an investigation, police identified the suspects as two 13-year-old males from Storm Lake, a 14-year-old male from Newell, and a 14-year-old male from Ida Grove. All juveniles involved were located and issued juvenile referrals for rioting and simple assault. The motive for the attack remains unknown.
