Spencer, IA (KICD)– There are a lot of industries both locally and around the nation looking to fill open positions and that is no different for law enforcement agencies in Northwest Iowa.

Spencer Police Chief Mark Warburton noted during his regular monthly report to the City Council that it is getting more difficult to find candidates willing to put on the uniform.

Chief Warburton added that now would be a great time for those considering a career in law enforcement to apply.

There are currently two open spots with the Milford Police Department. Chief Warburton notes Spencer is currently full, but an opening is expected later this year to fill spot being created by retirement.
