Ankeny, IA (Radio Iowa)– An Iowa based convenience store chain is reporting an increase in gross profits for the recently completed fourth quarter.
Casey’s President and CEO Darren Rebelez says the nearly nine percent increase comes mostly from in-store sales rises with the number of gallons of fuel sold remaining flat.
While there was no increase in fuel sales in the last quarter of the fiscal year, Rebelez says it was not a drop like many others in the industry saw.
For the fiscal year, Casey’s reported net income increased 31-point-five percent to nearly 447 million dollars. The company added 81 new stores in the fiscal year, ending the year with two-thousand-521 stores.
