Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)– It has been a couple of months since Palo Alto County’s new Emergency Management Coordinator took over the position.

Kayla Hagen may be new to the job, but not the local area.

In her new role, Hagen is responsible for a number of aspects all surrounding safety.

Hagen took over in April when longtime EMA Coordinator Mark Hunefeld decided it was time to retire.
