Primghar, IA (KICD)– The trial date for a Rock Rapids man accused of killing his mother in Sheldon earlier this year has been pushed back for a second time.
41-year-old Nathaniel Kassel was charged with first degree murder in March after 62-year-old Jody Duskin was found dead in her home.
Kassell was originally set to stand trial next week, but a District Court Judge John Sandy accepted a motion for continuance in May moving the trial back to August.
Online court records now show a second motion for continuance was made by the defense this week with Kassel’s trial now set to begin October 17th.
