Orange City, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A Louisiana man has been apprehended in Northwest Iowa after eluding law enforcement for four years. There were multiple warrants, including a federal arrest warrant, for 52-year-old 52-year-old Kyle Backhaus of Armita, Louisiana. Sioux County Sheriff Jamie Van Voorst says his agency received tips that Backhaus would be operating a carnival ride at the Tullip Festival in Orange City over the weekend. Plain clothes deputies coordinated efforts to locate, identify, and arrest Backhaus and took him into custody Saturday afternoon.
