Cherokee, IA (KICD)– The Cherokee School Board is working on a permanent option to fill an opening being created by the departure of its sitting Superintendent.

Board President Jody Thomas tells KICD News a couple of personnel moves were made on Monday to at least temporarily give some normalcy to the district as readies for the upcoming academic year.

The changes made on Monday officially take effect at the end of this month to coincide with the new fiscal year that begins July 1st.
