Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — As we reported yesterday, the Sunday opening of the Spencer Aquatic Center was postponed because of an underground water leak. At last night’s city council meeting Park and Rec director Bob Fullhardt says they’ve determined the leak is in a pipe that can be sealed off, and Spencer’s children should be swimming by NEXT weekend.

The leak is in a pipe that had previously be repaired. Fullhardt says they won’t know if it is in the same section until it’s dug up.
