Milford, IA (KICD)—Multiple people were hurt in a weekend crash that closed a portion of Dickinson County highway near Milford for a period of time.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Highway 86 and 210th Street shortly after one o’clock Saturday afternoon where an investigation found a car driven by Ryan Nielsen of Arnolds park was hit by an SUV driven by

Russell Myers of California which ultimately pushed Nielsen’s car into oncoming traffic causing it to be hit by a second SUV driven by Eric Guy of Des Moines.

Guy and passenger were taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake for treatment of unspecified injuries. Nielsen and Myers were treated at the scene and refused transport. Nielsen was cited for failing to stop in an assured, clear distance.
