Estherville, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — A major upgrade to the Emmet County Sheriff’s dispatch radio console was approved by the Emmet County Board of Supervisors at the June 24 regular board meeting. Sheriff Justin Schultes explained the federal and state requirements demanded the replacement. The E911 board approved $300,000 towards the project, and the sheriff’s FY 25 budget contributed an additional $150,000. Alpha Wireless designed the replacement and upgrade plan, which includes a Motorola console and a maintenance agreement. This project is anticipated to be a multi-month process.
