Fonda, IA (KICD) — US Senator Joni Ernst from Iowa spent some time in the KICD Broadcast area this week. She had stops in Cherokee, Sioux, O’Brien, and Osceola Counties on Tuesday; and stops in Palo Alto and Pocahontas Counties on Wednesday. At a meeting at Wells Ag in Fonda, the Senator said she feels a farm bill could be passed in the Senate, but the desire to cut the bill back from its $1.4 Billion price tag will make building a coalition difficult in the House.
KICD News asked the Senator about the recent attempted rebellion in Russia. She told us she hopes it’s shifted the momentum in Ukraine, and that its a signal that Russia is unsafe for Putin and future despots.
