Spencer, IA (KICD)– The City of Spencer will hold an open house on Thursday evening to give the public an opportunity to meet the finalists for the Fire Chief position.

There are three finalists, one internal and two external, vying to the job to succeed John Conyn who retired in May after serving the community since 2017.

The meet and greet will take place in Council Chambers at Spencer City Hall from 5:30 to 6:30. Formal interview will take place Friday with an official appointment expected next week.
