CYLINDER, IA (NorthwestIowanow) – A Sibley man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on the evening of July 4 in rural Palo Alto County.
Emergency responders were called to the 5200 block of 370th Street (Highway 18) near Cylinder at approximately 9:01 p.m. for a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, 58-year-old Scott Nasers was traveling eastbound on a 2018 Harley-Davidson when the motorcycle veered off the roadway and entered the grass median near a curve. The motorcycle rolled, ejecting Nasers from the vehicle.
Nasers was treated at the scene by Palo Alto County EMS and later airlifted by AirMed helicopter to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines with life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Emmetsburg Police Department, Cylinder Fire Department, Palo Alto County EMS, and Wickman’s Towing.
