Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Northwest Iowa Surgeons of Spencer has announced the addition of the fifth general surgeon.

Dr. Benjamin Branigan is scheduled to start seeing patients in August. Branigan is a native of Omaha who vacationed in Okoboji with his family. He received undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology, and his medical degree from Creighton. He completed his residency at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Northwest Iowa Surgeons has offices in Spencer, but the surgeons serve multiple health care institutions including Spencer Hospital and Lakes Regional Healthcare.
