Sutherland, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Gaza native who challenged sitting Congressman Randy Feenstra in the Republican Primary during the last election cycle says he will NOT run in 2026.

After winning 40 percent in the primary and then announcing he was voting for Feenstra’s Democrat challenger, Kevin Virgil hinted that he might re-challenge Feenstra in the 2026 election.

Virgil tells Radio Iowa that he is now living in Michigan and ineligible to serve in Iowa’s 4th Congresional district. He says he has been the Chief Executive Officer of Ann Arbor-based Forever Labs since April.
