Arnolds Park, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Law enforcement officers on duty all the way from Arnolds Park to Estherville joined in a high-speed pursuit Tuesday night. 39-year-old Robert Bingen was finally stopped by Estherville Police when he entered that community. The chase started around 7 last night in the Great Lakes with officers from Arnolds Park, Okoboji, Spirit Lake, and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s department all joining in.

Bingen has been charged with eluding law enforcement, driving while barred, failure to prove insurance, and multiple traffic violations including speed and illegal passing.

Authorities say the pursuit on highways 9 and 71 were in excess of 90 miles per hour. He was transported back to the Dickinson County jail.
