Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The city of Spencer says they’re already done cleaning up public property and right of ways after last week’s Derecho. City Manager Kevin Robinson says they’re moving on to Phase 2.

The temporary tree dump in East Leach Park will close at 8pm Wednesday, but residents can continue to use the permanent green waste site.  During Monday night’s city council meeting, city officials complimented city crews for their efficient cleanup efforts. Public Works Director Mark White, in turn, said private contractors did a great job too.
