Des Moines, IA (KICD)– The Iowa State Fair will feature 64 new foods to try when the gates open next month.

Among the new additions for 2023 will be Blueberry Mini Donuts, Deep Fried Bacon Brisket Mac-N-Cheese Grilled Cheese, Deep Fried Strawberry Shortcake on a Stick, Dill Pickle Flavored Cheese Curds and Southern Fried Corn on the Cob.

Our neighbors to the north at the Minnesota State Fair have also released their list of new food options which includes a Bacon-Wrapped Waffle Dog, Cheese Curd Stuffed Pizza Pretzel, Cheesecake Curds, Loaded Lobster Fries and a Dill Pickle Lemonade.

Iowa State Fair officials will narrow down the full list of new foods to the top three in a Facebook livestream next week that will then be voted on by Fairgoers to determine the best new food.
