Spencer, IA (KICD)– The City of Spencer is looking to move forward with future economic development by having a pair of studies completed.
The first is a traffic study in the area of the North Y Gateway Project that City Manager Dan Gifford says was being required by the Iowa Department of Transportation.
The second study is looking at the possible need for a new hotel in Spencer.
When it comes to work on the land at the North Y Gateway, Engineer Jim Thiesse says progress is being seen.
In other business on Monday, the Spencer City Council approved the sale of a piece of land north of Schoeneman’s though no exact details for the property’s future have been discussed publicly.
