Northwest Iowa (Radio Iowa)– A new report is offering a county-by-county breakdown of the prevalance of Alzheimer’s Disease in Iowa.
Brianne Fitzgerald is the Senior Director for the Iowa Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. She says while the two counties with the highest prevalence, Monona and Ringgold, are in different parts of the state Northwest Iowa has become a bit more of a focus.
Fitzgerald says there are some theories as to why there appears to more potential cases of Alzheimer’s in Northwest Iowa.
