Emmetsburg hosted the E-Hawk Cross Country Invitational Monday at the Iowa Lakes Community College Disc Golf Course.

In the Girls race, Lauren Hillesland of North Iowa ran 20:34 to place 1st. Julia Swift from Algona’s Bishop Garrigan ran 21:36.5 to finish 2nd. Emmetsburg was led by Rachel Schany’s time of 21:50.9 which was good for 3rd. In 4th was Alexis Cummins of North Union, running 23:56. Ava Meinders rounded out the top 5 with a time of 24:03.8.

Hayden Armstead of Estherville Lincoln Central was 6th with a time of 24:32.5. Rory Elbert of Emmetsburg took 7th at 25:12.9, in front of Sawyer Storms of Pocahontas Area in 8th with a time of 25:12.9.

Molly Detlefson of Harris-Lake Park took 25th.

Emmetsburg took the team title with 24 points, Estherville Lincoln Central was 2nd and Pocahontas Area took 3rd.

Warren Duitsman of Estherville Lincoln Central dominated the Boys race with a time of 18:17.7. Emmetsburg went 2 through 4 with Ben Cox clocking 19:02.2, Krayton Rutledge ran 19:43.9, and Elijah Cox crossed in 20:22.7. Estherville Lincoln Central’s Gustavo Chitic Aguilar edged out Dante Nelson of North Iowa at the line for a time of 20:24.2 in 5th.

It was Justin Shearer leading Pocahontas Area in 13th with a time of 22:13.4. Elliot DeRoo of Harris-Lake Park led the Wolves with a time of 23:01.3. North Union’s Traecer Starnes paced the Warriors in 24th.

Estherville Lincoln Central edged out North Iowa for the team title with 42 points to the Bison’s 44. Emmetsburg was 3rd, Pocahontas Area 4th, and North Union finished 5th.
