Storm Lake, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Storm Lake hosted their Cross Country meet on Tuesday at Sunrise Pointe Golf Course.

MOC-Floyd Valley’s Natalie Anderson won the girls race with a time of 19:05.42. In 2nd was Sioux Center’s Molly Isakson with a time of 19:39.82. In 3rd was Ashlyn Rau of Harlan with a time of 19:57.35. Unity Christian of Orange City had Katie Young in 4th with a time of 20:02.13. 5th was MOC-Floyd Valley’s Kienna Lassen with a time of 20:15.02.

Silvia Kampbell of Storm Lake took 7th with a time of 20:31.57.

Cherokee led off with Grace Woodall who took 13th with a time of 21:17.51.

In front for Spirit Lake was Kaitlyn Trautman with a time of 22:42.12.

Sioux Center won the Girls team title with 41 points, MOC-Floyd Valley was 2nd with 66, and Harlan took 3rd at 75. Storm Lake was 6th at 211, Cherokee took 7th with 219, and Spirit Lake was 8th at 226.

In the Boys race, it was Algona’s Gavin Weber in 1st at 16:11.06. MOC-Floyd Valley’s Isaac Hummel took 2nd with a time of 17:00.11. Harlan had Jeffrey Gros at 17:10.26 in 3rd. 4th place was North of Sioux City’s Even Tesfaselassie with a time of 17:15.13. 5th was Sioux Center’s Drew Cundy with a time of 17:18.06.

Storm Lake was led by Joel Ramirez-Para in 11th with a time of 17:52.86.

Spirit Lake was paced by Oliver Thompson in 30th at 18:36.81.

Top of Cherokee’s lineup was Danny Leyva-Cedeno at 18:56.66 in 39th.

In the team race, Sioux Center won with 43 points, Storm Lake was 2nd at 75, and North of Sioux City was 3rd at 78.

Spirit Lake was 6th and Cherokee took 11th with Newell-Fonda 14th.
