Sheldon, IA (KICD)– The City of Sheldon is looking into a new housing proposal for the former site of Bethel Church.

Justin Postma of Posty’s Build and Remodel or Orange City came to the City Council on Wednesday to talk about his plan that as of right now involves as many as five structures on the property.

Postma says the hope is to see some work on the site this Fall, but it will all depend on progress seen on another build in the community.

A similar proposal had been brought forward earlier this year to help bring some additional housing to Sheldon, but the developer notified the city in early June that that project was being put on hold until the financial situation improves and interest reates begin to come down.
