Armstrong, IA (KICD)– An Armstrong man was hurt late last month after being hit by a car.

Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens tells KICD News his office received a 911 call on the afternoon of July 27th for a pedestrian having been hit on Highway 9 near South 3rd Street.

An investigation at the scene determined 50-year-old Darrell Burgess was attempting to cross the highway when he entered the pat of a west vehicle driven by 20-year-old Ethaniel Mitthun of Buffalo Center.

Burgess was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
