Spencer Hospital is being recognized for its commitment to high-quality patient care.
The hospital and its affiliated clinics have earned reaccreditation from the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality… a national organization that works with Medicare and Medicaid.
The recognition followed a rigorous, unannounced inspection at the hospital and its clinics back in April.
Hospital President Brenda Tiefenthaler says the achievement reflects an ongoing, hospital-wide effort.
The reaccreditation comes as Spencer Hospital has also been named a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital in the nation for the tenth year in a row.
Tiefenthaler says the entire healthcare team deserves credit for their dedication to the community.
The announcement coincides with National Quality Healthcare Week, which runs through Saturday.
