Hull, IA (KICD)– A Southwest Minnesota teen has died after being involved in a two vehicle crash near Hull Tuesday evening.

The Iowa State Patrol was initially called to the scene on Highway 75 just south of the junction with Highway 18 shortly after six o’clock where a southbound vehicle driven by 18-year-old Emma Nibbelink of Luverne was found to have over-corrected after driving on the shoulder while southbound.

That led to the car being broadsided by a northbound pickup operated by 25-year-old Dylan Taylor of Le Mars.

Nibbelink died at the scene and Taylor was not hurt. The crash report notes the roadway was snow and ice covered at the time of the crash.
