Jackson, MN (KICD)– A Southwest Minnesota man has been charged after Jackson County authorities were called to a report of an assault involving a weapon Thursday evening.

A criminal complaint says the call came from a Jackson apartment building shortly before 7:30 where responding units were told 23-year-old Anthony Brock of Westbrook had allegedly come to the home and pulled a knife after being denied access to a child belonging to his girlfriend and the victim.

The knife was then knocked away and the defendant kicked out of the apartment before he able to regain access allegedly punching the victim as well as hitting with a pan.

Brock has been charged with second degree assault. If convicted, he faces up to seven years behind bars.
