LAURENS, IA (Northwestiowanow) — A Laurens woman wanted on multiple warrants was arrested Saturday after officers found her hiding in attic insulation.

According to Pocahontas Chief of Police Alex Leu, 21-year-old Jackie Jean Michelle Nehring was wanted on several charges, including Felony Parole Violation for Escape in Palo Alto County with a $10,000 cash-only bond, Escape from a residential treatment facility in Sioux City with a $1,000 bond, and Failure to Appear on a Fraudulent Practice 5th Degree charge in Buena Vista County with a $300 bond.

On Saturday January 3, law enforcement located Nehring hiding in the attic insulation at a home on 252 Nelson Street in Laurens after receiving multiple tips from the community. She was taken into custody and transferred to Palo Alto County authorities.

The Pocahontas Police Department, Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office, and Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office worked together on the arrest.
