Spencer, Iowa – Travis Johnson is Clay County’s elected County Attorney.  He focuses on criminal prosecutions, law enforcement, and big picture administrative matters.

The Board of Supervisors then hires a part-time Assistant County Attorney to advise them and handle civil matters.  Barry Sackett from the Goosmann Law Firm has been filling that role, but he announced this week he’s accepted a position with a law firm in the Twin Cities.

Sackett told the board Tuesday morning they could continue to utilize the services of Goosmann, or he would be willing to continue in the position.
