OKOBOJI, IA (Northwestiowanow) — The Okoboji Foundation has opened its 2026 grant application cycle for nonprofit organizations and government entities serving the Iowa Great Lakes region.

The annual program provides funding for capital projects that enhance lake quality and the environment, support arts and culture, and expand outdoor experiences and recreation. Projects should be visible, broadly accessible, and sustainable.

Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits and government entities, while organizations without nonprofit status may apply through a qualified fiscal sponsor. Grant funds cannot be used for operational expenses, marketing, school uniforms, or short-term programming.
