Storm Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — An Alta man has been charged with choking a woman in Storm Lake. Police were called to the 300 block of East 1st Street around 12:30 Monday morning, January 12.

They say after investigating, they charged 34-year-old Victor Manuel Rodriguez Garcia with Domestic Abuse Assault of a Pregnant Person impeding Airflow – a Class D felony. Also Obstruction of Emergency Communications for taking her cell phone when she attempted to call 9-1-1.
