Jackson, MN (KICD) — Police officers in Jackson say they’re seeing more and more children playing near or even in the Des Moines River. The city has issued a message to parents reminding them that even though the water level is down, and the water appears tranquil, it’s not a safe place to play. They say the river is full of rocks, stumps, other debris, and unseen drop-offs.
