Worthington, MN )KICD)– A Worthington man is facing assault charges after allegedly threatening police earlier this month.

A criminal complaint by the Worthington Police Department says police were called to a local park on the afternoon of August 19th to report of a man threatening others.

34-year-old Joseph Rosado was found sitting on a bench before he reportedly stood up and pulled out a knife and walked toward officers in a threatening manner which led to Rosado being tased and taken into custody.

He has been charged with three counts of second degree assault with a dangerous weapon. If convicted on all charges he faces the possibility of more than 20 years in prison.
