Matlock, IA (KICD)– One person is in custody following a search that involved multiple Northwest Iowa law enforcement agencies Tuesday evening.

The incident reportedly began as a pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Osceola County before the suspect is said to have taken off on foot near Matlock in the area of “Hershey Bridge”. The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office was able to initially find and track the wanted subject using a drone until a K-9 officer from Sheldon could be deployed for apprehension.

The unnamed suspect was taken to a local hospital and later transported to the Osceola County Jail. Charges against that suspect have not been released.

In total, six agencies were involved in the incident including the O’Brien, Osceola, Lyon and Sioux County Sheriff’s Offices, the Iowa State Patrol and the Sheldon Police Department.
