Spencer, IA (KICD)– A Spencer woman was hospitalized following an incident involving a UTV over the weekend.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 3200 mile of 330th Street shortly after nine o’clock Sunday morning where it was learned 23-year-old Emma Holst lost control while entering a ditch causing the vehicle to hit a barbed-wire fence and Holst to be ejected.

Holst was taken to Spencer Hospital with injuries to her face, arms and legs. Police say the incident remains under investigation.
